NYTimes announces that Cisco acquires Utah Street, a social networking site. Rembering IBMs Activities product and all the fuzz about social networking on Lotusphere 07, it's quite clear that Media, Network and services really are converging at the moment.
It's no big surprise actually; converging those three key components will drive your sales no matter what if you are in the computer business today.

Fake your space
Seriously; fakeyourspace.com is said and quite interesting at the sametime.
I'm not sure if this service actually makes any money, but if they do this shows the importance of social network on Internet today. But as one of my co-workers commented today, how long will it take before there is a Firefox plugin that verifies that the Myspace posting are from real people?

Music streaming service
I've been trying out Pandora (www.pandora.com) a couple of days now. And I really like it. Why do I want to store my music on my computer? It's connected to Internet anyway. Certainly I want to bring my music with me on my iPod, but that's another discussion. Being at work, I want to be able to listen to my music, and I don't care to download any mp3s to my harddisk. Why would I?
That being said, Pandora is not all about streaming service. It's more about playing music based upon a "signature" of an artist of mine choice. So far, there's been more thumbs up than thumps down. What I miss though, is to make it more easy to share my listening experince, real-time. A sort of peer-to-peer listening experince.

What about LCS2005?
Apparently LCS 2005 is not the huge success that one could expect. Instant messaging planet tries to explain why here
Finally got Sametime 7.5.1 up and running
I finally got Sametime 7.5.1 up and running a couple of days ago. I really looking forward to start playing with the next Sametime client, even though I do not expect too many changes from the 7.5 release. Most of the big changes are already announced on Lotusphere, but it will be great to get some first hand expriences though.
